Displaced By Natural Disasters

The Center for Disaster philanthropy estimates that in 2018 natural disasters displaced 17.2 million people. These millions of people no longer had a place to call home due to a disaster that was completely out of their control. According to the World Meteorological Association, natural disasters have increased five-fold in the past fifty years (2021). The world is seeing a tremendous increase of individuals and families having to flee their homes and leave their lives behind at a moment's notice. While we cannot stop the occurrence of natural disasters, there is a lot that can be done for those who have been displaced. In order to avoid this recurring tragedy, we need to build resilient, sustainable communities in a socially responsible manner.

Trade Venture provides safe, scalable, and accessible homes for those who no longer have a place to call home after a natural disaster. Instead of having to find a new city or even a new country to call home, Trade Venture brings land back to life and communities back together after devastation. In many areas, disasters occur frequently. Because of this, Trade Venture’s homes have been designed to withstand fire conditions, seismic and hurricane-force winds, and are bacteria and mold resistant.

These homes are the long-term solution that families affected by natural disasters need. Trade Venture’s mission is to provide safe and resilient post-disaster housing that will allow generations of families to thrive for years to come.
