The Ability To Stay
Imagine being woken up in the middle of the night by a notification on your phone, a blaring siren, or a fervent knock on the door telling you that you had to flee your home immediately! According to an extensive survey done by NPR (Baker and Montanaro 2021), two-thirds of Americans would prefer to rebuild rather than move somewhere else if their homes were destroyed by a natural disaster.
